Fly to Mandalay and visit the city’s palace, fort,
pagodas and monasteries, ending with sunset

Tour the ancient royal capital of Inwa (Ava)
by horse cart, then visit Amarapura’s temples,
handicraft workshops and the Mahagandayon
monastery. Evening boat trip on Taungthaman
lake to watch the sunset over U Bein Bridge. (B, L)
Board the RV Paukan or the Belmond Road to
Mandalay (supplements may apply) for a 2-night
cruise to Pagan. Relax and enjoy river life, with

Disembark in Pagan this morning and transfer
to the Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort for a
3-night stay. This evening, a private boat has
been booked for you on the Irrawaddy river,
including dinner on the riverbank (subject to local
