to some of most important towns including
Salamanca, Toledo, Segovia and Avila.

Fly to Madrid, pick up your hire car at the airport
and drive to Segovia. Explore the old town of
Segovia and it´s Roman aqueduct, the Royal
Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso with its
18th-century palace and gardens, and Riofrio
Palace. Continue to Avila to explore its medieval
walls, the Alcazar and the splendid San Vicente
gates. Drive to Salamanca and stay at the Las
Claras Hotel for 2 nights. (N)
Full day at leisure to explore the city’s marvellous
architecture including the Plaza Mayor, which
is the grandest and largest square in Spain, the
old and new cathedrals, which combine gothic,
baroque and Renaissance stonework, and the
Roman bridge across the River Tormes. (B)
Morning at leisure for further exploration of
Salamanca. In the afternoon, drive to Toledo
and stay at the San Juan de Reyes Hotel for 2 nights. (B)
Full day at leisure. Known as the ‘city of three
cultures’ because Christians, Arabs and Jews
lived here in harmony for centuries, behind its
walls Toledo preserves an artistic and cultural
legacy in the form of churches, palaces,
