Full day at leisure to explore the city including the cathedral and the Alcázar. Seville’s cathedral is the largest in Europe and is Christopher Columbus’ burial place. Its intricate bell tower, called La Giralda, was once a minaret for the mosque that formerly stood in place of the cathedral. The exquisite Alcázar Palace and gardens are now a residence of the Spanish royal family. (B)
Morning drive to Córdoba, stopping en route to view the picturesque town of Carmona. Stay at the Macia Alfaros Hotel for 2 nights. (B)
Full day at leisure. Visit the Mezquita, formerly a mosque, with its dazzling Moorish interiors and the narrow lanes and small squares of the picturesque Jewish quarter. (B)
Drive to Granada. Stay 2 nights at Villa Oniria. (B)
Full day at leisure to visit the gothic cathedral and its royal chael as well as the Alhambra. The Alhambra was built by the Moors in the 13th and 14th centuries and consists of a spectacular complex of buildings, courtyards and gardens that made up a magnificent Moorish stronghold. (B)
Drive to Malaga airport and drop off your hire car before flying home. (B)
