The oldest train in Spain, El Transcantabrico features original 1920's Pullman carriages that have been renovated to offer modern luxuries combined with all the charm of the golden era of rail travel. All guest cabins feature double beds equipped with a minibar and safe and all have air conditioning and en suite facilities. The dining car offers an à la carte menu while the bar car has panoramic windows where you can enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif as you watch the scenery pass by. Other carriages include a panoramic coach, tea saloon and entertainment saloon. There is also a small library with newspapers and magazines. Meals: À la carte and buffet breakfasts are served daily; all dinners and lunch are served with the finest cuisine, either on board the train or in top restaurants. Meals include wine, water, soft drinks and coffee. Each suite has a double bed 119cms wide by 185cms long (4ft wide by 6ft long); some have an extra overhead bunk bed, which folds down 75cms width by 175cms long (2ft 6ins wide by 5ft 9ins long). Fittings include: large windows with curtains, carpeted floors, a wardrobe, desk, safe, air conditioning, heating, telephone and minibar. There is also a private bathroom with hydro-sauna, turbo massage, steam shower and hairdryer.
