to Lucca where you will take a walking tour of

In the morning, visit Florence’s rival, the
medieval city of Siena. Raised up high on three
hills, the town is steeped in tradition, most
notably the Palio, the thrilling horse race which
takes place in the piazza. Continue to visit
San Gimignano, visible from some distance on
account of the numerous towers that puncture
its skyline. Before returning to Radda in Chianti,
stop off at a local vineyard. Learn about the oil
and wine-making process before sampling some

Drive to Florence for a morning tour of
Florentine architectural marvels such as the
Ponte Vecchio and il Duomo (the cathedral). The afternoon is yours to wander at leisure, soaking
up the flavours of the city before returning to

Enjoy a day at leisure, explore the surrounding
area by joining a locally arranged excursion or
perhaps relax in the hotel's wellness centre. (B)
Today is devoted to the distinguished
wine-growing region of Chianti. Tour the
nearby estates of Ricasoli and Spaltenna,
tasting the wonderful red wines produced in
this area. Return to Radda in Chianti and visit

This morning, visit Pienza and San Quirico
d’Orcia to watch the production of tasty Pecorino
cheese. Sampling the produce is, of course, on
the agenda. Continue to San Galgano Abbey, a
ruined 13th-century Cistercian monastery, which
is allegedly where the legend of the sword in the

Transfer to Pisa and take a short walking tour into the heart of the ancient city where you will
be able to visit the cathedral, the baptistery,
view the famous leaning bell tower and the
burial ground of Campo Santo. Continue to Pisa
airport for your return flight to London. (B)
