Archaeological Museum, which brings together
findings from all over Evia. Continue to the new
Archaeological Museum of Thebes, where you

Continue to the historic coastal town of
Nafpaktos, site of the famous Battle of Lepanto,
for lunch. Travel to the Peloponnese via the new
Rio Bridge before arriving in Olympia. Stay at

museum and theatre. Continue to Athens, via
the Corinth canal. Early evening walking tour

and well-published scholar
specialising in the early
early Islamic periods.
Educated in Greece, the
United States, Belgium and Britain, he has
worked extensively for the British Museum,
the antiquities ministries of Jordan,
Syria, and Oman, and recently at Athens
