Full days at leisure to explore the capital of Austria. Vienna is a fascinating blend of the historic and the modern, with a wealth of grand architecture and a stunning musical heritage. There are some excellent examples of Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture and the Schloss Schonbrunn, summer residence of the Hapsburgs, is now open to the public and is particularly worth a visit. (B)
Morning at leisure. Transfer to the train station and journey by rail to Prague. Transfer to the Bishops House Hotel for 3 nights. (B)
Full days at leisure to explore the capital of the Czech Republic. Maticka Praha - 'little mother Prague' - was largely undamaged by WWII, and the cityscape is stunning. Its compact medieval centre remains an evocative maze of cobbled lanes, ancient courtyards, dark passages and churches, all overlooked by an 1100 year old castle. Prague sits amid the gentle landscapes of the Bohemian plateau, straddling the Vltava River. Central Prague consists of five historical towns including Hradcany, the castle district, Staré Mêsto, the gothic Old Town and Josefov, the former Jewish ghetto. Within these historical districts linked by the landmark Charles Bridge are most of the city's attractions. (B)
Morning at leisure. Transfer to Prague airport and fly to London Heathrow with British Airways. (B)
(B) = Breakfast, (L) = Lunch, (D) = Dinner, (N) = No Meals
