In the morning, take a shared boat across Lake Arenal and enjoy spectacular views of the lake and its surroundings. Continue to Monteverde for 2 nights at the Trapp Family Lodge. In the afternoon visit butterfly & hummingbird gardens and explore the treetop canopy from hanging bridges. (B)
Morning tour of the Monteverde cloud forest reserve, a habitat of rare flora and fauna. Take a walk along trails surrounded by hanging vines and flowering orchids while keeping a look out for wildlife, including the elusive quetzal. Afternoon at leisure. (B)
