The Katara Lodge is situated on the Great Rift Valley escarpment with uninterrupted views of the wide open savanna, Lake Edward and the Virunga and Rwenzori mountain ranges beyond. The lodge offers seven spacious thatched cottages with en suite facilities, built and decorated from local materials with thatched roofs and wooden flooring. Double beds are also fitted with wheels to allow them to be taken outside on to the veranda in the dry season to allow sleeping under the stars.
