Chada Katavi is situated at the core of Katavi National Park. From its elevated vantage point on a peninsula that rises out of the miombo woodland, the camp is perfectly positioned for panoramic views over the Chada plain. The Camp comprises six traditional-style safari tents with unrivalled views and large comfortable beds. Private bathrooms are set at the rear of each tent and traditional 'bucket showers' give the Camp a genuine safari feel. Washstands, with pitchers of hot and cold water, are set at the front of each tent. The canopy of acacias, kigelias and tamarinds are a popular source of shade and food for the abundant bird and animal species that inhabit the region, creating world-class game-viewing opportunities without you even having to leave the Camp. They are open fronted, with a dressing room and an upstairs relaxation deck complete with daybed. The adjoining bathroom, accessible via a short boardwalk, have flush toilet and a hot powerful shower.
In the centre of the beach is the camp's double-storey dining and lounge area, which also has a library and upstairs viewing deck, and set amongst the vegetation and rocks, is the sunset bar. Daily activities from the camp include walks into the forest in...
