Four Rosmead is a boutique guesthouse that offers affordable luxury to the discerning traveller. In a prime location, Four Rosmead is just five minutes walk to vibrant Kloof Street, famed for its restaurant and café culture and also within walking distance of the city - approximately 20 minutes downhill, so you may want to get a taxi back up the hill. The waterfront, Clifton and camps bay beaches are also easily reached by car. With very personable staff the property is a great base from which to explore what Cape Town has to offer.
The house was built in 1903 and is classified as a provincial monument. It has been stylishly re-modelled in keeping with its rich history and now offers a cape contemporary classic feel. River Manor is a privately owned and run boutique property, built in the early 1900's, which has national monument status and comprises two historical houses in "The Avenue" - a famous oak lined street in the historical town of Stellenbosch. It is just a 2-minute stroll from the village centre full of restaurants, shops, museums and art galleries.
The hotel has 18 guest rooms, two swimming pools and a small spa facility set in the hotel gardens. The spa is open daily; however you are required to pre-book any treatments locally as, although in-house guests get priority for spa bookings, the spa facility is open to non-residents as well. All 18 rooms have been decorated and furnished in keeping with a theme of 'colonial charm with a touch of Africa'.
