Drive north, crossing the border into Botswana
at Pont Drift. A representative from Mashatu will
meet you on the South African side (where you
will park your car) and transfer you to Mashatu
Lodge. Stay 3 nights. Explore the reserve in a 4x4
open vehicle, on a walking safari, on mountain
bikes or on horseback. (B, D)

Transfer back to your car at Pont Drift. Cross the
border back into South Africa and drive to the wild
northern part of Kruger National Park. Stay 2 nights
at Pafuri Camp. Activities include wildlife drives,
walking safaris, mountain hikes, visits to stone age
sites and to contemporary Makuleke villages.
Morning safari activity at Pafuri Camp, drive
south to Tzaneen and overnight at King’s Walden

Marataba Safari Lodge is situated in a malaria-free 23,000-hectare private concession in the foothills of the Waterberg mountains and forms part of the Marakele National Park in the Limpopo province of South Africa. The lodge has 15 canvas-and-stone tented suites which are beautifully furnished and decorated with a contemporary twist. Each suite has its own private deck overlooking the sweeping plains and meandering river below. The suites also have a free-standing stone bath and an indoor and outdoor shower which takes full advantage of the dramatic scenery of the Waterberg mountains.
