Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort & Spa is located on Bazaruto island, the most northerly of the five magical islands of Mozambique's Bazaruto archipelago and national park. Situated on the western side of the island, with clear turquoise waters and white palm-lined beaches, Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort & Spa is a 15-minute flight from mainland Vilanculos.
Accommodation at the resort consists of 44 chalets, suites and villas constructed mostly of natural materials, which blend into the surrounding tropical vegetation that lines the beachfront. Chalets and villas are luxurious, offering privacy and beach access.
A variety of non-motorised water sports are available including kayaks, wind surfing and Hobie Cats. Numerous excursions are possible from the activity centre such as snorkelling, sport fishing, sunset dhow cruises, whale and dolphin watching, horse riding and cultural drives. A daily scheduled snorkelling trip to Neptune's Nursery (weather permitting) is included in the price. The national park fee of $15 per person per stay is payable locally (subject to change without prior notice).
There is a considerable tidal range in Mozambique between low tide and high tide. This means the sea at low tide could be a fair distance away from the resort.
Features: 44 chalets, suites and villas; 4 restaurants; salt-water swimming pool and wet pool bar; children's leisure centre; fitness centre; curio shop; spa.
Room amenities: En suite bathroom with bath and outdoor shower, air conditioning, mosquito screens, television and minibar.
