Visit two of Africa’s most significant wildlife regions: Kenya’s Masai Mara and Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Start in the Masai Mara where, on the short-grass savannas, lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, jackals, Masai giraffes, elephants and antelope can be spotted. Migratory zebras and wildebeest in their thousands move around the reserve between July and October, in search of green pasture. Fly on to Uganda, home to almost half of the world’s wild mountain gorilla population. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is a rich rainforest environment that contains over 120 mammal and 350 bird species. This tour includes a permit that enables you to track and spend an hour with one of the nine habituated gorilla troops.

The plains offer a rich variety of food for dominant predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas and cheetahs. Elephants graze among the large herds of wildebeest, buffaloes and antelope. In the Mara river, hippos and crocodiles can be spotted on the riverbanks. During your stay you may like to book an optional balloon safari. (B, L, D)

Experienced guides will accompany the tracking, many of whom have been involved in the habituation process themselves. Once the gorillas are located, you will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them. Return to camp for dinner. (B, L, D)
