Travel in focus … Winter 2016
There are four general categories in the Compass photography competition – people, wildlife, places and quirky. The winning and commended images are all below – be sure to comment on your favourite one, or enter the competition next time for your chance to win.

Commended – Children in Delwara by Isabelle Michiels
The beautiful and joyous children of Delwara, Rajasthan, India. This part of rural India is beautifully untouched, and makes for a perfect picture!
Commended – Pilgrims in the Ganges by Samana Schwank
Taken from the ghats in the early morning in Varanasi, India. In the picture you can see Hindu pilgrims who bathe in the sacred waters of the Ganges river.
Commended – Giraffe Manor by Helen Jackson
A stay at Giraffe Manor in Nairobi is a wonderful experience – as long as you’re happy to share your breakfast!
