Operations Executive

 

We require an experienced Operations Executive for this busy department. Responsibilities include liaising with airlines and overseas suppliers, obtaining and managing tour allocations, issuing nett and published airline tickets and preparing and dispatching travel documents. It is essential that candidates have the ability to work on their own initiative, and meet tight deadlines under pressure whilst maintaining a focus on excellent customer service. Applicants must have excellent communication and letter writing skills, and be able to use Word and Excel proficiently. Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount in this position. Previous Galileo experience is an advantage, fares and ticketing experience is required.

Product Manager - Relax & Explore

 

A vacancy exists for an experienced Manager to join the Product Development Team at Cox & Kings.
‘Relax & Explore’ is a new programme for Cox & Kings and is a collection of tailor-made ideas for travellers looking to combine discovering exciting parts of the world with relaxation in stylish surroundings. This could be in one or two centres, which offer a series of ‘experience’ options - cultural, natural, active or restful.
The programme will feature holidays in the Far East, the Indian Subcontinent, the Indian Ocean, Australasia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Latin America. The position also includes the management and development of honeymoon related product.
Organised and methodical, educated to degree level, the successful applicant will have experience in managing, planning and costing a programme of tours, with a minimum of two years experience in this field. Experience of costing and managing the profitability of a programme is essential. A mature attitude to work, the ability to be creative, innovative, prioritise work requirements and work under own initiative are all necessary skills to succeed in this role.
A proven ability to negotiate with outside suppliers and organizations, communicate effectively with colleagues and third parties and deal with the needs of different internal departments are prerequisites, as well as the ability to work within company procedures and policies as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will be computer literate, with a thorough knowledge of Excel and Word and some CRS experience.
The position requires extensive knowledge of the Caribbean market as well as knowledge of other honeymoon type destinations. Good product knowledge of a significant proportion of the destinations in the Cox & Kings portfolio would be an advantage.

Sales Support Assistant

 

The successful applicant for this position must be bright, efficient, be able to work on their own initiative and in a team, have excellent keyboard skills, be proficient in Word and Excel packages and possess good organisational skills and the ability to multi task. Responsibilities include dealing with passports and visas, maintaining and checking client files, data inputting, meet and greet clients, postal duties plus general administrative duties. Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount in this position. Previous travel industry experience is preferred.

Commercial Executive

 

Applications are invited for the position of Commercial Executive. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Commercial, within the Product Development Department, this position would suit anyone at ease with data analysis. The ability to use Excel spreadsheets to at least an intermediate level is a requirement, and experience of preparing management reports and a tour operator background would also assets. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritise a changing workload are key to the success of this position.  Responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on tour profit levels, performance and competitor analysis, loading of rates onto the costing system and the checking suppliers invoices. Salary offered  is commensurate with experience. Tour Consultant: Middle East

 

An opportunity has arisen for a Tour Consultant to join our sales team. The position will include selling brochure tours as well as designing and costing tailor-made itineraries for independent travel to the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of the region gained by relevant travel experience along with a passion to sell the destination.

Good sales techniques and an excellent telephone manner are required. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure whilst maintaining a focus on excellent customer service. Applicants need to be computer literate with good writing/keyboard skills.

Salary up to £23,465. Travel sales experience is a must.
