Transfer to the Pullman

Morning city tour followed by
a 90-minute cruise on Waitemata harbour. (B)

Day 3 – To Bay of Islands:
Journey north to
Paihia in the Bay of Islands, where you will
board the Ipipiri for an overnight cruise around
the Bay of Islands. (B, D)

Day 4 – Bay of Islands:
Disembark this
morning and transfer to the Copthorne Hotel
& Resort Bay of Islands for 1 night. Remainder
of the day at leisure. (B)

Day 5 – To Rotorua:
Travel south to the
geothermal city of Rotorua. Stay 2 nights at the
Amora Lake Resort Okawa Bay. (B)

Day 6 – Rotorua:
This morning, you will cruise
on Lake Tarawera at the base of a dormant
volcano. In the afternoon, visit the Blue and
Green Lakes before an opportunity to walk
around the buried village of Te Wairoa. (B, L)

Day 7 – To Napier:
Visit Huka Falls and the
Wairakei Geothermal Project at Taupo en
route to Napier, where you will have a guided
walking tour of this art deco town. Transfer to
Scenic Hotel Te Pania for 2 nights. (B)

Day 8 – Napier:
Day at leisure to explore
Napier and its surrounds, including the
vineyards of Hawke’s Bay and the gannet
colony of Cape Kidnappers. (B)

Day 9 – To Nelson:
Fly to Nelson. Transfer to
the Grand Mercure Monaco Apartments for 2
nights. (B)

Day 10 – Abel Tasman National Park:
Choose
from a number of cruises and walk- or cruiseonly

Day 11 – To Kaikoura:
Today, you will travel east
to Kaikoura, visiting Blenheim en route. Stay 2
nights at the Fairways at Ocean Ridge. (B)

Day 12 – Kaikoura:
Morning whale-watching

Day 13 – To Mount Cook:
Travel across the
Canterbury Plains and Burkes Pass to Mount
Cook National Park, visiting Lake Tekapo
en route. Stay 2 nights at the Mount Cook

Morning cruise on
Tasman Lake to the face of the Tasman glacier.

Day 18 – To Wanaka:
Travel north to Lake
Wanaka, visiting the historic gold mining
settlement of Arrowtown en route. Stay 2

Day 20 – To Fox Glacier:
Travel through the
world heritage Westland National Park and
Haast Point before reaching the small town
of Fox Glacier. Stay 2 nights at Distinction Fox

Day 21 – Fox Glacier:
Day at leisure to visit
the surrounding glaciers. (B)

Day 22 – To Punakaiki:
Travel north on the
rugged west coast to Punakaiki, where you will see the limestone rock formations of the
Pancake rocks and blowholes. Stay overnight at
the Punakaiki Resort. (B)

Day 23 – To Christchurch:
Travel to
Greymouth and board the TranzAlpine train for
a coast-to-coast journey through the Southern
Alps to Christchurch. Stay overnight at the

Day 24 – Christchurch:
Transfer to the airport
