Responsible Tourism
Cox & Kings recognises that we have social, cultural and environmental responsibilities to respect the destinations we visit and the people who live there. We believe that our holidays should benefit the local people and their environments and we strive to ensure that the local culture and communities form an integral part of our trips. We wish to maximise the benefits of tourism to each destination, whilst minimising the environmental impact whilst abroad.
Cox & Kings recently received a 3-star award for Responsible Tourism from the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO). To gain this highest possible status, companies must undertake a specific project which contributes to the economy, culture or environment of a destination. This was achieved specifically through our support for Indian charity Magic Bus. We also support charities in a number of the destinations we offer tours to, and are active supporters of Tour Operators For Tigers (TOFT).
