Day 1 To Cairo: Fly from London to Cairo with British Airways. Transfer to Le Méridien Pyramids (Standard Room) for 2 nights. Subject to availability, upgrade to a Pyramid View Room for 2 nights for a supplement of £45 per person (twin share). (N)

Day 2 Cairo: Morning tour of Giza to see the Pyramids and the Sphinx. Afternoon visit to the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities. (B)

Day 3 To Luxor: Early morning flight to Luxor. Stay at the Steigenberger Nile Palace for 3 nights. (B)

Day 4 Luxor: Visit the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. (B)

Day 5 Luxor: Morning visit to the Temples of Karnak and Luxor. Afternoon at leisure. (B)

Day 6 To Aswan: Drive to Edfu to visit the Temple of Horus, then on to Kom Ombo to see the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Continue to Aswan and stay at the Basma Hotel for 2 nights. (B)

Day 7 Aswan: Visit the Aswan High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. (B)

Day 8 To Cairo: Optional early morning visit to Abu Simbel (payable in advance - please request at the time of booking). Transfer to the airport and fly to Cairo. Stay overnight at the Fairmont Heliopolis. (B)

Day 9 To London: Morning transfer to the airport. Fly from Cairo to London with British Airways. (B)
