Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Luxury Group Tour

Day 1 To Rio de Janeiro: Fly from London to Rio, via Sao Paulo, with TAM Brazilian Airlines. (N)

Day 2 Rio de Janeiro: Morning arrival. Transfer to Copacabana Beach and stay at the Porto Bay Rio Internacional (Superior Partial Ocean View Room) for 3 nights. (N)

Day 3 Rio de Janeiro: Full day tour of Rio, including Corcovado Hill and Sugar Loaf Mountain for spectacular views of the city and its bays. (B, L)

Day 4 Rio de Janeiro: Morning jeep tour of Tijuca Forest, the world’s largest urban forest, which forms part of the Atlantic rainforest. Afternoon at leisure. (B)

Day 5 To Iguaçu: Fly to Iguaçu and tour the Brazilian side of the falls. The thundering waters of Iguaçu are an amazing spectacle, surrounded by tropical vegetation and stretching for miles. Stay 2 nights at the Bourbon Cataratas. Upgrade to the Hotel das Cataratas located in the park from £160 per person (Superior Room). (B)

Day 6 Iguazú: Morning tour of the Argentinian side of the falls and the Devil’s Throat, to get a perspective from above. Afternoon at leisure or take an optional speedboat trip on the river below the falls. (B)

Day 7 To Salvador: Morning at leisure. Afternoon flight to Salvador, the colourful capital of Bahia and a former capital of Brazil. Stay 3 nights at the Pestana Bahia Hotel, with views of the ocean. (B)

Day 8 Salvador: Morning tour of historic Salvador, including the colonial district of Pelourinho and San Francisco church. Evening Bahian dinner and show, introducing various African-influenced Brazilian traditions of the region, such as Candomblé, Maculelê dance, and the martial art Capoeira. (B, D)

Day 9 Cachoeira: Full day tour to Cachoeira, once the wealthiest town in Bahia. Take a guided walk to see its colonial buildings and many wood sculpture ateliers. (B, L)

Day 10 To London: Afternoon flight to London, via Sao Paulo, with TAM Brazilian Airlines. (B)

Day 11 London: Arrive in London. (N)
