Cox & Kings, in collaboration with IRCTC, has set up a company called Royal Indian Rail Tours Ltd (RIRTL), which has launched the Maharajas' Express, the last word in luxury rail travel. The Mah8rajas’ Express will have a total of 23 coaches, with a maximum capacity of 82 passengers, and will be the first luxury train to have four distinct configurations. It will have five Deluxe carriages, each with four cabins six Junior Suite carriages, each with three cabins two Suite carriages, each with two suites and finally one Presidential Suite exclusively occupying one carriage.
